日本と台湾の興亡の歴史を見渡せる、これまでにない企画のフォトブック。1895年、戦争によって日本と台湾は運命共同体となりましたが、1945年に再び戦争によって台湾と日本は別々の道を歩む事になりました。二つの小国は時代の流れに逆らおうと努力を重ねましたが、その野心が為に百年の偉業も徹底的に崩壞。この本は360点の貴重な写真を集め、父や祖父が話したがらない敗戦の苦い過去、政府が認めない、学校では教わらない歴史を語ります。

This is the only photo book that overlooking the history of the rise and fall of Japan and Taiwan. In 1895, Japan and Taiwan became a life partner for the war, but in 1945 Taiwan and Japan took a separate way for another battle. The two small countries tried to go against the flow of the times, but because of that ambition the hundred years feat was also thoroughly collapsed. This book collects 360 precious photographs, talking about the history that the fathers or grandfathers does not want to talk about because of the painful past of defeat, and the history that the government does not admit, the history that school does not teach.

唯一能將日本與臺灣的興亡彙整、綜觀前後歷史的有溫度寫真書。1895年，因為一場戰爭讓日本與臺灣成為命運共同體；1945年，因為另一場戰爭讓臺灣與日本各自分道揚鑣。雙方從蕞爾小國努力隨著時代的洪流逆勢上爬，然而也因為志得意滿將百年偉業徹底崩壞。本書蒐集360張珍貴圖片，敘述父執輩因戰敗不願再提的往事、學校不敢教的故事與之前政府不肯面對的歷史。同時載負著許多人的青春與熱情、淚水與生命。
