海軍手先信号法てぬぐい

艦船同士など距離のある場所で使う「手旗信号」とはまた違い、エンジンが轟音で唸る機関科など、距離が近く、しかし声が通りづらい場所で使う「手先信号」をモチーフにしています。昭和初期に発行された海軍省教育局検˜閲済図書より図版を抜粋。どこかユーモラスな表情は一つ一つに個性が光り、緊張感の中に漂うユルさが否めません。
現在の海上自衛隊に継承されているものもあるという歴史あるハンドサイン、お友達同士はもちろん、恋人同士、SNS、ご家庭でも使って楽しめますね。
 
"Hand Signs" are used as the motif. Unlike "flag semaphore" which are used where there is a distance, such as between ships, "hand signs," are used in closer proximity, but where voice communication is difficult, such as in the loud roar of an engine room. These "hand signs" illustrations are excerpted from censored works published in the late 1930`s by the Ministry of the Navy, Training Bureau. The expressions are somewhat humorous, yet there is an individuality shining through each and every face and although the work is quite serious, one cannot deny the presence of some loose humor at the same time.
These are historic hand signs that are still in use by the present Marine Self-Defense Forces, but they can also be used in a fun way between friends, lovers, on SNS and even with your family.
