The Empire of Japan gradually established the modern navy by importing warships from overseas and building domestic ship positively, to combat the naval strength of the powerful countries. This book records the history of more than 250 vessels from all vessels belonging to the Imperial Navy fleet of Meiji to Taisho, from the first warship of the Imperial Navy "Azuma kan" in 1864 to the <Washington Naval Convention> in 1922. It is the only book that also combines ships with the historical axis, and also introduces the back story of the ship and commentary on the photograph.
